best exercises for targeting the upper chest
I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the best exercises for targeting the upper chest. Whether it's incline bench press, incline dumbbell flyes, or any other exercise, what do you find most effective?

Nothing hits it quite like incline bench - straight bar, heavy weights, strict form.
Guillotines are another I work in the rotation
Finally a narrow grip incline straight or smith super slow and controlled is my other go to. Really focus on the contraction and keeping stress on the muscle. It’s not so much about the weight.

If I had to choose I'd say low incline barbell or dumbbell and incline cable flies

Cable flyes low to high light my upper pecs up, but then again so does incline chest Press. It never hurts to have options.

I like dumbbells and cable flies myself . Even as I get older wish I had used cables a lot more there just more efficient and easier on the joints

I like standing alternating dumbbell flys. I lean over and try pull the dumbbell up and across. Supersetted with incline machine press..

That’s an interesting way to do them. I can’t feel them upright I’ll try it that way next push day

You want a big hood ?
KISS.. keep it stupid simple..
Until you got the giant base .and that may take years of heavy
#1 flat bench
#2 incline bench
Then start fine tuning and shaping
Peck deck
Flys
Decline bench
Obviously incline bench for upper if that’s your main focus
Heavy weight
Medium volume repps
Medium volume sets
Eat . Rest . Repeat
If you find you’re not getting sore anymore change the routine schedule
Your body and muscles adapt to the load we have to constantly trick it and shock it
For example do chest two days in a row
Then take a week and a half off and blast it once
Everyone’s different you just have to find what you respond to and how your body works but this is how I developed a giant hood, and at one point was repping four plates on the incline

It is all fiction.. I don't condone any of it in real life. I am not a professional or medical doctor just a figment of your imagination
