My boy is 245 like 6'4 has a hard time on bench claims its because his arms are long more range of motion ?

He's correct. It's force X distance = work. He has to do more work to bench the same weight. There's a reason why the strongest guys, in terms of weight lifted vs body weight are always short guys.

I'm a mountaineer and the best climbers are always like 5'6" and 140 lbs. they are just more efficient then someone w long legs.
