Man fuck that lol I do like 3 sets of 8 at 85-87.5 kg which is a good 10kg plus shy of 225 pounds.

I can probably hit a few reps of 225 but that's it.

I've done 20 before wouldn't be surprised if I squeezed a bit more in but shoulders tend to give in after the 15 mark lol

I used to slam it up 3 sets of failure. The best I did before I stopped lifting for 6 months was 34 reps On my first set then 25 then 16. I was 22 years old at 215lbs at the time and had never used any PEDs. This was the same time frame I hit 405lb on bench press. I was surprised how accurate it was for indicating 1rm strength. I'm back to lifting today and I hit it for 25 then 17 then 10. I am determined to get my 34 back and then push it to 40 and beyond. I love doing 3xfailure of 225 instead of a traditional rep and set scheme. I like rep schemes, but this is a nice swap that was very rewarding to me in both terms of size gains and strength gains. It was my ticket into the 400 bench club.

I've hit 31 reps with 225lbs after a pretty hard chest workout and I've also hit 30 reps with 100lbs dumbbells after a good chest workout. I did this last year during a blast when I was weighing 245lbs. I'm 235 now and haven't hit anything hard while I'm in cruise to let the joints heal a little but I plan on blasting some high mgs starting next months and want to hit around 250lbs or so. Looking to hit that 40 mark. My best raw bench was 435lbs for trips, I think that was pretty good because I've never considered myself to be a really strong guy on bench.
