I have used the machine, but it has been so long, I don't really remember much about the actual effectiveness of the workout. In fact, the gym had a lot of the old nautilus equipment from the early 80's.
Fuck with me and I will start dating your daughter.

Just saw that Hammer Strength makes a plate loaded version. Hmmmm I gotta talk to the gym owner now.

Liked the machine, but I get more of a pump by using the DB version. I felt like the machine took away from some of the stress I was trying to put on my lats and couldn't get that squeeze at the flexion part of the movement. Now I prefer using the DB's and really focusing on maximum contraction at the top of the movement. Kai Greene is really big on the DB version, focusing on maximum contraction as well. I sometimes wish the gym I'm at still had a machine though for the simple fact I could get a slight variation from using DB's all the time.
