      Why have a VPN?!?

      Benefits of a VPN

      1. Enhanced Online Security – The majority of VPNs use powerful encryption protocols to make sure your Internet traffic and online data are protected when you browse the web. As a result, you won’t have to worry about cyber-rcriminals stealing sensitive info from you – not even on unsecured networks.
      2. Access to Any Online Content – A good VPN masks your IP address, and replaces it with one from a different country or state, letting you bypass geo-blocks and give you access to any website or online services you want.
      3. Online Privacy – Since a VPN hides your IP address, it can make you anonymous online – to a certain degree, of course. This is a good way to secure your online freedom of speech if you live in a country with more oppressive laws. Try using a VPN with tor. A little slow but safe.

Here is a good site where VPNs are actually tested over the long term to find out the best one working right now, don't get your info from ad sites.

      My Take

Tor is great, VPNs are great. With all the shit going on with identity tracking as of 2018, nothing is safe 100%...but you can get close to being safe. So be smart about your privacy and use something. VPN is my favorite method...quicker than Tor. However, Tor is free and is hard to compete with in that regard...even more secure when using TAILS. But a VPN is good for downloading...Tor is not. Both are highly secure for what we do...so use something. Why not try a VPN for a change.

Tor is not a VPN my friend. Hey...I'm a poet and I didn't know it.

Well. Just in case you want to see what I wrote between the lines....

Get a VPN that offers coverage for 3 to 5 devices on one account and does not log. Use it for your computers, apple/android devices, smart-TVs, amazon devices...etc You can even pay for a yearly subscription with Bitcoin. .

Use your VPN to start an anonymous email account (e.g. protonmail.com...etc) and use it for communicating your business or whatever you want to use it for. Use it especially when surfing, communicating, purchasing, bitcoining, etc.

For communication via text on your devices; after your vpn is installed, you might want to check out... seasms.com

lots of options you have for security. just make use of whatever you choose and put the odds in your favor.

Thoughts on Opera's built in VPN? It always seemed a bit clunky to me compared to other services.
