I got an Tutanota email setup about a month ago. Easy Peasy.

I've used it without a hiccup 20-30 times for regular emails.

Last night I sent an email to a sponsor with a Countermail address. It had me create a password so it would be end to end encrypted.

It wouldn't let me send it without using a password. I've never had to do that before. So my question is did I hit something by accident that made it an ETE encrypted email? Or because countermail is also a secure address it automatically formatted itself that way?

I feel like a newbie asshole that doesn't fully understand this. I'm learning but I'm not there yet. So this morning I woke up to a reply from the sponsor, "What's the password?". Of course they couldn't see it because I didn't share the password. So I sent another email with the password.

So can somebody help me out here. Did it format it that way because it was going to another secure address or did I hit something I wasn't aware of? When you send ETE encrypted emails do you then send a second email with the password? I'm confused.

FYI you don't need to tell me I'm retarded. That's understood.
