      Diet Planning Spreadsheet

A couple of guys were talking about their diet planning spreadsheets on another thread, and I thought it would be a good idea to start a separate thread so we can all share how we manage all this stuff.

I kinda geeked out one weekend and put together a big Excel spreadsheet with all my diet goals and macro breakdowns. You can access it here:

      https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

I think you should be able to download it and use it for yourselves as well.....

      Here's how it works:

There are two diets, one for muscle gain and one for fat loss. You should only edit the text in red...everything in black calculates itself. There's a different tab for each meal, and a different "menu" for each...one for muscle gain and one for fat loss.

Start on the muscle gain diet or fat loss diet page and enter your weight and body fat and activity factor and it should work out all of the macro goals for you. Then, enter your ingredients on each meal page, and the diet page will update with all the totals and also calculate out whether you're over or under your target for each macro.....then you can go back and edit your menus to fine tune the numbers and dial your diet in.

Curious to hear if any other guys have done anything like this....or to hear your ideas for how to improve it.

By the way...I think you should be able to download that file and work on it yourself....if you try to edit the numbers in source file on google it might throw everyone else off....make a separate copy if you wanna tinker around with it. I can also email it as an Excel or Mac Numbers file if anybody wants it....shoot me a PM.

I did something similar when I tried a keto diet in the past. (Ive tried a lot of different dieting techniques to see what my body responds to the best.)
Its open for all to use as well. I would simply add my foods on the food sheet and the copy and past into the log sheet.

I hope someone could get some use out it. I use fatsecret app now.
