      Macros

      I have pretty much always considered myself on a bulk and always ate large amounts of healthy food . But age is catching up and fat apparently, the below the attached link is used to figure macros looks interesting. Anyone eating like this??

      okayt to use the calculator but GOOD LORD, the IIFYM idea itself is the DUMBEST thing ever ... not every calorie is created equal ... a person who consumes the exact same amount of proteins, carbs, and fats on sweet potatoes chicken oats and peanut butter will not be the same as a person who gets it from all shitty foods ya know?

      I just weight my food and make sure I am eating the correct pro/carbs/fats with each meal to meet my daily needs. I don't bother ever counting calories

      pretty much same here. I mean I do and i aim them high when bulking. but quality means more IMO

      What is your goal from here? From the sounds of it , it seems you may have a lil extra fat on board more than youd like. 15-20 is a pretty large range and look very much different.

      if i had to suggest something I would give 2 options,

      Option 1 do a full cut diet, hit about 300-500 below maintenance cals on a 50pro 30 carb 20 fat macro, you could even have some low carb off wrkout days and then maybe a refeed once every other week or possibly once a week. This along side of a little cardio would do wonders.

      Option 2 if your scared to loose some LBM maybe stick close to a recomp style diet, clean it up a tad. eat right at maintenance and moderate cardio still in a 50 30 20 fashion,

      for cuts or recomp i go high pro low to med carb

      for bulks its a little bit the opposite low to med pro and high carb

      hit me up if you have any questions on where to be on those numbers or even a mock up meal plan if you need.

      Thanks for the info bro. Due to the type of work I do its very hard to do meal plans for more that 21 days at time. I'm home 21 gone 21 and while at work we have a galley crew that does the catering so I just have eat best I can with what they cook for the day. I do bring nonperishable items to work but have no way of refrigerating or cooking anything. My bag with protein and such this trip out weighed 50 lbs we are asked to bring only 35 due to the long helicopter flights. I would definately be able to take it to another level if I could follow a strict diet. Its a pain in the ass sometime's but I make great money to work only six months a year.
