      Macro ratio for staying lean

What do you guys/gals think is the best macro ratio to stay relatively lean?

      40%-Protein, 40%-Carb, 20%-Fat?

      OR

      60%-Protein, 20%-Carb, 20%-Fat?

I've heard and seen sooo many different variations and opinions.

there isnt one. theres no magical macro split that lets you grow lean. also you should never go by percentages

I'm not sure that there is an ideal macro ratio, since each person varies in their needs, genetics, hormone use, etc, but I've found that a keto diet can be used at length. Typically people just do keto to cut hard, but it's possible to make a lifestyle type diet of it. It does limit your food choices, however.

If anything, I would at least keep carbs fairly low, and mostly complex. Carbs are generally empty nutrition, but the right types of fat are great for hormone production, as well as mood regulation and general brain function. So if I were to name a ratio, I think 50% protein, 30% fat, and 20% carbs (mostly complex) would be pretty solid.

When I would carb cycle, on my "moderate" carb days I was at 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat

A lot of people swear by macros, IMO cutting all items with added sugar in any form works best with high protein the fats and natural carbs work them self out.

I also find age plays a big role too.

I dont carb cycle, more like flexible dieting. I have been eating around 40%P/30%F/30%C, and cutting. Im trying to up my protein, and I eat all lowfat foods so Idk how Im eating so much fat. But I like the idea of balancing carbs and fats. But its all about what works best for you.
