Thread: DNP & Metformin

Has anyone ever combined the 2 compounds? Would it be worth messing with?

I thought about using the metformin before my carb heavy meals, especially postworkout. I tried it the other day, I took 500mg Met with my postworkout meal that had >100g carbs. I was curious if I'd get hypo symptoms later, but I didn't. I didn't really get any stomach upset, either.

What's the thought process behind using the metformin?

Im curious as well. I've never heard of the stuff.

It's an oral Glucose disposal agent commonly scripted to Type 2 Diabetics.
METFORMIN Place in Bodybuilding!

I'd read that a lot of people use Insulin w/ DNP. It was just a thought that occurred to me: Use Metformin with high CHO meals (like the postworkout meal) to assist in carb disposal & maybe drive those carbs into the muscles/liver instead of into fat. It seems that Metformin kind of does that. It was just a thought. I had some metformin on hand & was running a DNP cycle. Actually thought it might enhance recovery after the workout while on DNP.

Id say all the metforimin would do with dnp is suppress appetite a little. Insulin sensitivity isnt really valid while running dnp

That's a pretty damn big benefit in itself!

I wanted to bump this thread as im about to start another dnp run. I use metformin to keep my blood glucose low and insulin sensitivity high while dieting and using gh. Do you guys think its a waste to keep running it while in on dnp? My thought process is it will help what little carbs i do eat go to muscle cells, since dnp already keeps insulin very low.
