I do 30 minutes on the exercise bike after working out.
I do low intensity on treadmill and bike and HIIT with a trainer who pushes me to near death.....also I mountain bike about once a week. Basically I alternate between them or try to space it out.

On all my preps for shows I would do the stairs in the am train at lunch and do 12 min hitt on my bag punches kicks and knees
Knees are great cause your really working your core/abs
I used to run ALOT and found that it was unbeatable in the form of cardiovascular endurance. I would work in a 2.4km run sometimes twice a week, 400m sprints and a hiit sprint session as well. Like a lot of people have already mentioned however, this would spill over into my workouts due to taxing my lower body etc.
That paired with the metabolic increase had me hungry alllllll day and feeling washed out.
I save my energy for heavy compound lifts these days and LISS 4-5 days a week 30 min HR above 125 bpm.
I find that I am able to maintain a decent level of conditioning if I do this paired with counting cals etc.
But god damn if a pizza and icecream isn't still the most tempting thing on this planet haha.
