Thread: Ah shoot! Feel like a rookie may have an infection!

I pinned my calf 2 days ago and now it's hot pink and spreading....the only thing hot pink and spreading I want in my life is a vagina....not an infection!
I swabbed it with alcohol and pinned it...first time ever I had this happen..

Well I'm off to the clinic to explain I gave myself a "B12" injection!

Hopefully it's not an infection. Probably best to play it safe though. That's one of my biggest fears since I started doing this. **knocks on wood** Good luck!

How fast did you inject? It MIGHT NOT be an infection. It could be crystalizing in your calf. Pinned to quick and it has no where to go. I would take some Advil and add a hot patch with massage. Is it sort of tender? Have you pinned your calf before? These are all things to take into account. Again if you want to be more cautious and get a second opinion by all means do that. But to me sounds a bit like crystallization.

I have a buddy with a permanent limp due to pinning his calf. I call it the pimp limp.

It probably wouldn't hurt to get a round of antibiotics going. It will be much less painful in the long run the earlier you start taking them.

I don't know any dam rooks pinning their calves! My buddy just had this happen in his delt, rran down the entire length of his arm looked swollen and sun burnt. I think some of the oil just leaked out of of the muscle and under the skin, but any doubts always seek medical attention.

It must hurt like a mofo having a calf pin go wrong
