Is that 60g of protein and 20g of leucine on top of 1200 calories, or part of it?

I hope you guys understand what 350 is saying and I hope you all get a chance to look into Ronnie Rowland's slingshot training.
True failure HIT guy's profess priming before a cycle to promote growth, but many try to say when you hit a plateau you need to increase training intensity. That is only part of it. The 8wks on 2wks off reload deload program is a professional routine that involves training, diet, and AAS dosages.
Basically the deload is a mini prime. You decrease volume of diet, trainings sets/weight, and compounds. This frees your receptors, glycogen storages, and CNS for a soft reset. The reload phase hits all at once and cranks up the volume on all three aspects and literally tricks your muscles into growth.
Read Ronnies work if you get the chance. I love reading the work of an author with self described "poorer genetics" and 21inch guns. He trained pros for years. Ronnie does not lay out the safest path. Rather he lays out the entire game from a weekend warrior to pro builder.
You can use his work with or without AAS and the man laid in place what I consider the last pieces of the puzzle for guys that argue about what should be done when you reach a plateau. He really does put every argument into perspective.

Will have a read for sure. I guess 350z lost some of the message when he rephrased it, like protein storage and detoxing. Everyone needs a deload from time to time, but many of us only take a break due to injury, which hopefully happens infrequently.

I am an HIT guy of sorts. I got in a big clash on another board about increasing intensity during a plateau with HIT geniuses that actually are smart guys. I am not as smart as them, but once you read Ronnies life work and employ it... There is no denying the results.
Everything in your endocrine system, central nervous system, hypothalamus, and receptors is adaptive. You body does not want the added mass you are throwing on once you have well passed your natty potential. You have to decieve your body at every turn to grow like a mofo.
A prime is nothing more than a deception for your system.
"Oh! We finally caught a break!" All at once you prove just the opposite and you grow.
I dont even see it as an overload I just see it as monotiny when we use the same high volume diet, training, and compound dosage. Your body adapts a after 6-8 weeks your HIT training plateaus, as does your diet and supplements. You literally hit a wall.
Increasing training intensity when diet and compound dosage stays the same is only going to add a slight amount of mass and then the cycle has ended. The deload and reload resets you to grow faster because it entails everything that propels anabolic/growth activity in a human body.
Even Yates explains in blood and guts that you need a break after 6-8 weeks of HIT because you will reach a plateau. You do indeed! He explains, "You need a break to reset."
It is not only training that you need a "break" from. You need a complete deload, not an increase in intensity from only one aspect of growth.
You all know what happens when you run the same dosage of AAS instead of taking a break and either reducing to trt/bridge dosages or ceasing to pct...
Ronnie cycles diet, training, and compounds.
Sorry for the long post. Half drunk...

350, thanks for the article, man. Born, fantastic posts. I will look into Ronnie's writings. Thank you for the direction and information.

Thanks man.

No worries. Hope you're half drunk on something better than beer
I've briefly skimmed over some articles by/about Ronnie's thoughts, and one concern would be that his 8 on 2 off cycling isn't really for the average gymrat. And probably not great from a health perspective either. Most esters don't even clear in 2 weeks.
He's obviously an old school guy. Thanks for the comments - there's always more to learn.

1200 cal total including the 60gr protien and i include the 15gr amino calories too (Leucine: 6.2 calories per gram) yes aminos come with calories and vary from compound to compound. actually the calories would be less than 6.2 on the amino becuase of energy lost and absoption

So about 25% of your diet is protons. That's pretty well balanced, but it obviously depends on the lean mass you're trying to maintain. I'm not a dietician, but would imagine the more drastically you reduce your calories, the further you'd have to go towards a protein-heavy diet.
Also, there's very little evidence that excessive protein turns into glucose.

Like I said in the post before, Ronnie covers you from weekend warrior to pro.
There are no safe pros.
Yoi can run slingshot with or without AAS or you can push the limits of AAS. Gear is one third of the process.
I appreciate you man.
Btw you are correct, short esters work best. In my opinion long esters have no place other than hrt and medicinal use.
I also hope everyone understands Ronnie when he explains the process. Long esters have no place in Ronnie's program. I use deca for joint pain along with TRT, other than that I have no use for long esters.
This plan works with trt and or bridges (for the more advanced)
