      Question Post workout Carb Question

      Hey gents and ladies,

my question revolves around carbs directly after a hypertrophy workout. the workout also includes 5x5’s and high rep range all in one sitting I.e. slow twitch and fast twitch fibers. So yeah after a workout I’m FUCKING hungry as a bear.

i have been looking a number of carb variations to eat after these workouts and I seen a lot about DEXTROSE.

I wanted to see if anyone has tried it and what kind of results are you getting from this product.

not using label names for forum reasoning but would Pure concentrated dextrose be the best option for recovery? If not what do you suggest?

      diet is currently: 350protien, 250 carbs, 80fat
      Get the fuck on it.

Once you get to a certain level of healthy carbs, I don't think one it better than the other. That said, real food is optimal. I have the product you are referring to and I don't find it any different than the next (in terms of recovery). The nice thing about it is you can bring it anywhere and mix with a lot of things. When I don't have food sources around I use it in shakes. Nothing magical here.

I like to sprinkle some dextrose on my white rice and have it immediately after my workout. I’m a big believer that fast acting carbs with some salt and water really help refuel your muscles post workout

imo it depends on your goals and individual responses to BG spikes and insulin release... short answer?
If your cutting or recomping eat 'cleaner' carb sources like white jasmine rice , basmati or white potatoes... if adding weight, eat sweet cereals, pancakes with honey, or something like eggos... this is me tho... also depends if exogenous insulin is being used at the time...intra workout is always gatorade powder... seems to work for me and it tasty as fuck!

IMO...Karbolyn , hands down the best pre/post workout carb source I’ve used.
