      The Carnivore Diet...Really??!!

Has anyone done any thorough research into this. I heard about this like a couple decades ago and now its making its rounds again. Even Jordan Peterson is talking about it (and I am a fan of his)...

also, here is a doctor's interview..

If you do simple google searches, there are actually quite a few people doing this.

What do you bros think? If this has been covered before, let me know.

It’s definitely interesting. The thing with diet is that we are all so different.

None of our hormone profiles are the same, our bodies don’t partition nutrients the same, a ton of variables from a personal genetic profile not accounting for various lifestyle differences.

Good thing about diet is you can usually assess how it affects you within about 30 days, regardless of diet type.

I’d say get some blood work done and try it for a month. Get blood work at the end, see how you feel, and if you can beat the cravings for other food.

If some members ran the diet strictly, I bet there would be a good following of the thread. If anything we could see some anecdotal evidence by people who generally have the same lifestyle.

Hmm...I'm seriously thinking about guinea pigging myself on this experiment. I have a doc appt end of month for my high blood pressure that I am being treated for...i want him to do a full blood panel workup while im there. After that...i may try this.
It appears that some people who are on this diet only eat one type of meat...say beef or chicken. Others just say any type of meat is fine. A lot of it has to do with your reaction to the kind of meat and ability to eliminate what makes you not feel as good. I suppose that is true of any diet though. Thanks for the input so far...it makes sense to me in some ways...sense enough to want to try it.
Anyone else have any input on this?

I'm very curious about this as well, but despite being a big fan of the keto diet, I'm sure I could follow this. I think discipline and dealing with social pressure are a big thing here. When I eat with my kids, it's hard to get them to eat something if it's not on my plate as well. Also restaurants with groups are an issue. Ordering a hunk of meat ,veggies, salad, nobody thinks twice. Order a slab of just meat and suddenly you're explaining your diet to everyone...again. Maybe I just like to avoid drawing attention to myself.
Also, going super strict...no salsa with my eggs? That would kill me.
