So I've been following a low carb diet, but I've never checked my sodium intake until today. My goal shows 2300mg per day, needless to say I'm almost 3 times over my daily goal. So im here to ask about counteracting the sodium with potassium. Just the egg whites and cottage cheese make up 2200mg of sodium, so it will be hard to alleviate the intake. So the questions are
1. Does anyone else monitor this, and if so what is their daily intake?
2. Is it possible to counteract with potassium supplements, if so what amount should be taken?
Please excuse the dumbness, maybe I'm just looking to deep into it
