      Keto? Yah or nay

I’ve run keto in the past with varying results. I’m “considering” doing it again but I’m worried about losing muscle which is what I’ve seen before. Quick background, I spent last year just lifting, mostly powerlifting not giving a fuck about my weight. Just trying to get stronger. I tore more rotator cuff late November and that put an end to that. I was 283lbs. Switched gears and started cutting. Fast forward to today and I’m 247. Maybe 16-17% bf. Not lean enough and I’m trying hard to get a bit leaner. I’m not 100% ready to jump on gear but tren is not out of the question. But I want to take it as far as I can without it. So.....switch to keto for 90 days or so? How can I spare the muscle? I’m not against running test along with it to keep what I got. Thoughts?

Possibly look into Intermitted fasting? I would say the first few weeks would suck but work your way up. Make each wait time a little longer until you hit the sweet spot. Just an idea

Slowly. Seriously though, I try to up my use of whey protein and lower my calories. You will lose some muscle but can look even bigger by trimming excess body fat. Keto is definitely effective for weight loss. I’d keep my test levels up or try higher tren, lower test. Example 300 Test prop, 350 tren Ace

So far I’ve used nothing but trt dose (135 or so a week). I’ve been thinking about tren, just not really ready. I never wanted to dip below 250 but I’m just not lean enough yet.

If you have the money Primo is a great long term choice for you Ragu! Keep your TRT dose as is and add Primo. You feel great and love it during your metamorphosis! (Nice word, eh!)

Keto, if you have to put a name on a diet, works wonders. Not just for fat loss but also sugar cravings. I run a modified keto diet using a 3 day 1 day rotation. Three days I eat my proteins and fats plus 90 grams of carbs, then one day of only proteins and fats. Use a steroid that reduces muscle loss, like Eq at 600mg a week plus 400-600mg Test Cyp or enanthate. Fat comes off, muscle stays.
I think Tren eats muscle as it increases feed efficiency, thereby looking for calorie sources if you aren’t consuming enough. Don’t get me wrong. Tren is a wonder drugs but there’s a lot that goes with its use.

I like 16/8 intermittent fasting. Helped me shed about 30lbs of vanilla mudslide. Put yourself in a slight deficit, cardio 3-4 days a week and fat will be falling off. Once I got to a solid recomp, I was able to drop the fasting to 2 days a week to maintain.

Tried keto myself mid last year. I was also doing intermittent fasting and while I did lose a lot of BF( actually the leanest I had been in years) I did lose muscle and I just didn't feel healthy. A lot of people will swear by keto and even stay on it year round. Nothing against those people as we are all different. I just personally think there are better alternatives. For example-A Standard caloric deficit diet. Daily cardio (doesn't need to be crazy shit, even a 40 min walk will do it especially if your doing it in a fasted state.continuing to train hard and heavy. Intermittent fasting and maybe even carb cycling. just my 2 c

Keto has been great for me. I've been able to put on a little muscle but drastically reduce my body fat. 7 inches off my waist and a 2 inch increase across my delts. You do feel a little week for awhile, for me about 2 weeks. Then I started getting my performance back. Also, on the health side, my cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar has improved considerably last I checked. Just experience but I would recommend people try it. And for a decent amount of time. It took awhile for the health benefits to kick in.
