I try to separate my cardio until night. Have a bike that I bought for home cardio. Although it just sucks riding a bike at home. Feel like I would get much more out of hitting cardio at the gym. I have kids so getting to the gym a second time each day is impossible. Nor do I want to miss their whole lives because I’m at the gym. That’s important to me. Also I’m not the best with keeping up with cardio at home. My question is what do you guys or would you guys do in this situation ? Lift first then cardio immediately after and more consistency or space out cardio and weight training like I am now?
It really doesn’t matter. There are two sides to this, but for someone who has the objectives you do, you really won’t see a difference.
I normally follow your routine. Lift in the morning early and do cardio at night before working out again.
Preparing for a competition, I do fasted cardio in the morning prior to working out and then again on the afternoon.
Just be happy and do what fits your schedule. If you were going to compete, I would have a different answer.
