      Reversal of masculinization?

Pretty sure I know the answer here but as a counted to a client I ask.

Can his female patient reverse the masculinization that has occurred from AAS use? Currently his/her concerns are voice and skin. Claims there is no clitoral enlargement but culturally, I doubt that question actually gets asked or answered correctly.

Everything I've read, there's no way to reverse the deepening of the voice. Especially if she's been running aas for a good amount of time. If she was in early use, I'd say probably discontinued use for voice would be the way to go.

Now, the skin. Depending on what her issues are, like acne, there are medications like Accutane. I'm currently using it for life long acne issues myself, issues not caused or worsened by use of aas.

Hopefully that helps, but like I said. It's just from reading. I'm still a noob myself.

I'll preface this by saying I'm not a doctor. However, male hormones (AAS) are administered to transgender women transitioning to male. These drugs will eventually 'masculinize' certain parts of the female body that are irreversible from a hormonal resetting. For example, if the size or shape of the vocal chords have changed from introduction of male hormones, no lack of male hormones or increase in female hormones will restructure the vocal chords.

And to quote the almighty Wiki:

      Reversible changes
      • Increased libido
      • Redistribution of body fat
      • Cessation of ovulation and menstruation
      • Increased musculature
      • Increased sweat and changes in body odor
      • Prominence of veins and coarser skin
      • Acne (especially in the first few years of therapy)
      • Alterations in blood lipids (cholesterol and triglycerides)
      • Increased red blood cell count

      Irreversible changes
      • Deepening of the voice
      • Growth of facial and body hair
      • Male-pattern baldness (in some individuals)
      • Enlargement of the clitoris
      • Growth spurt and closure of growth plates if given before the end of puberty
      • Breast atrophy – possible shrinking and/or softening of breasts
