If we look at what cortisol is, it’s a GLUCOcorticoid to help us regulate blood sugar (GLUCose) BP, inflammation and more. When we don’t eat in a way to store energy Effie felt to be used by our cells mitochondria, cortisol takes over. It’s a compensation. So I would say look more at what’s she’s doing, change things up until her body adapts and look more at her nutrition...what she is taking in and when. It’s not just about nutrients and macros. It’s more about thermogenesis. Is her body able to take that food in and convert it to usable energy.
