Bulking shakes / egg white question
question 1:
Hello guys and gals , I was wondering for one , instead of eating eggs to save time in the morning could I just drink a 16 ounce egg white carton , it comes out to 50 grams of protein. or do they have to be cooked to get the benefits , the carton says pasteurized.
question 2:
what carbs do you put in your shake for a bulk ? I tried oatmeal and it’s to grainy and gritty . Any other ideas ? Are waxy maize carbs good for bulking ? Any ideas guys to get down the calories would be awesome.
I was even thinking of the baby oat meal cereal. It says single grain out meal though , what do you guys think ?

Liquid egg whites are great for shakes as they are indeed pasteurized and do not need to be cooked to get the benefits. I put my oatmeal through a coffee mill before I add it to my shake, it turns it to powder and makes the shake so much smoother.

There's quite a few studies/articles regarding protein absorbtion from raw versus cooked. Most conclude that protein absorbtion from raw eggs is about half the rate of cooked.
Post absorbtion Bioavailability is another consideration.

you know what man like the boys above said get amongst the liquid egg whites they ate gtg for shake. NOW of you want to do oates i suggest pre blending them into a powder if you haven’t bought powdered oates add frozen blueberries fresh whole banana, honey and for the extra calories since you’re bulking use oat milk it’s a game changer tastes amazing and i’m by no means plant based and if you want to use oat milk drop the actual oates double up on the oat milk volume add your protein powder also and then add 1/4 teaspoon of xantham gum to thicken or greek yoghurt. i’d probably suggest greek yogurt but xanthan gum is perfect for when cutting to thicken. also if you wanted add ice into a big blender increase the the xantjan gum and you now have ice cream. super high calorie dense great before bed

i prefer cracking fresh eggs as its cheaper but the liquid whites are very convenient.
I have a Thermomix and it can blend oats into dust lol
