Late reply but it did the same for me until i got the XR version. 500mg xr with food for a couple weeks before bed. Then i started another 500mg xr with breakfast. DO NOT SPLIT THE TABS THO, they lose their "xr" if you do.

When i posted this...i was not suggesting guys take it without doing there research on it! Or take any slin or insulin drugs for that matter as these things are not to just mess around with lightly. I personally have never used slin. Have go very far in my training without having to yet!
My wife worked for an endocrine doctor in South Florida....they prescribed this to patients quite often for this reason

Metformin is like $10.00 for 90/1000 mg tabs ,with a script........ G. P.
I'm looking to ask for a script from my doc this coming week. I'm not a diabetic but it has some advantages to those who take it. I'm hoping if I present the fact that it can help prolong life and reduce issues like cholesterol and other things he will give it freely. If not I will just get it here.. Any suggestions on how to acquire a script would be appreciated.
Never tried metformin but I'm definitely thinking about it now.
the question is how much does it reduce igf1 levels and protein synthesis.
anyone have some data or knowledge bombs?
