Here is the problem, it lowers igf1 and test levels...I was running 1.5ius of gh at night and 25mcg's igf1 after training....had bloodwork done...my igf1 came in at 323ng/ml....I was running 300mg of test, my total test came in at 1935ng/dl and my free at 518.6 pg/ml..
I was happy with the numbers but figured I could ramp them up a bit, started taking 2iu's of gh, 50mcg's igf1 after training AND 500mg metformin twice a day...got bloodwork done after 8 weeks...igf1 dropped to 184, Total test to 1584 and free to 481....so metformin does have an effect on igf1, total and free test

Yes, I know weird about test levels but bloodwork don't lie...I can unserstand the igf1 levels being effected...I am taking berberine now instead of metformin...has the same insulin spike control without the igf1 lowering sides...so basically all the good of metformin without the sides

I started taking Metformin about a month ago and have not had any side effects. I was taking 500mg 2x a day but going to up it to 3x a day. I have lost about 5 pounds since being on it and really have not cut back on my diet. You get get it for free at the Meijer's pharmacy, if you have a prescription. From reading Dr Osborn's book, it has many other benefits.

Hello all, here’s my two cents on Metformin:
It works.
Im in the medical field and just finished my first BB show, I placed and now I’m qualified for nationals. I discovered this stuff and it’s use in BB about a month prior to my show. According to the research and my Dr, as well as some other Dr friends, there are no negatives. So I ran it. This stuff does have the effect of changing your gut biome, the bacteria in your gut, and during this process you will or can have some GI issues. Flatulence, diarrhea, etc. It intense! But, after about 7 days your gut adjust and you’re good to go.
I can tell you this, proof is in the results and I was fucking lean, I was not as strict as I should have been during my cut but you could not tell by looking at me. Now I’m post show prep, taking the holidays off and I’m still taking it. My waistline is stuck where it’s at, no belly to speak of and well I’m eating like crap right now!
Do your research, check out the videos, this is one of the oldest and most researched drugs out there. All these side effects are from non-compliant, obese, or geriatric pts populations, in the studies they quote. I’m not doubting personal experiences, just saying in the studies, it’s not gym rat bodybuilders on strict diets that they are using.
Dr.’s will prescribe this stuff pretty easily, it’s kind of like a vitamin. Google Ben greenfield fitness, Metformin and he has a list of positive health benefits to tell
your Dr about, then they will be more adept to prescribe it. Mine did, cost me $5 a month supply at 3 tabs a day.
Enjoy the pumps too! Carb loads are even more amazing now...
