had an interesting chat with a professor at a major medical university i was doing work for. She stated that there is alot of research showing that basically, the more muscle mass you have the greater the chance of you NOT having diabetes. In rats, they induced diabetes, then then hit them with myostatim inhibitors. the rats grew large out of control muscle (which interestingly enough was muscle, but was almost diseased muslce), and the diabetes went away. And there is talk of reversing and or curing diabetes type 1 if the person could basically out grow it. I am wondering if this is how we get away with using and abusing slin? has anyone else heard of this research, or had personal knowledge along these lines? if your not comfortable talking about it openly, pm me. I was looking for research on it, but i dont think it was published. I am actually going to interview her further on the topic, since she has worked with quite a few famous body builders over the last 40 years. will be interesting. I am looking for more knowledge before i go in to have as many quality questions as possible. if its noteworthy conversation, ill post it here. One thing she said that was something i think alot of us know inherently is that having more muslce bulk does more for your body health wise than if you did all cardio, for instance. The diabetes was just brought up because she asked straight up what i cycled, and knowing her background felt no need to bs her.
currently holding 245-250lbs rough 8% BF. using 250mg test c, and varying levels of slin , but mostly low dose humulin R (or novalin r) anywhere from 5iu to 12. the 12 iu is rare unless im on cycle bulking. i like using it to lean out ( i had to figure out how to not get fat and hold a shit load of water first), and of course even on the 250 mg test C if i used 10-12 iu slin a day i could easily bulk to wherever i wanted i think. personally i like it. for 60 bucks at walmart i can get a bottle of slin and a box of pins, so pretty damn cheap and no side effects if used in a well educated manner.
