The problem is humalin/novalin -r does not have the same action as -log. Theres lots of anicdotal and scientific data that how -log as a significantly lower impact on insulin de-sensitization than -r.

If you cycle insulin properly desensitization shouldn't be an issue. Thas been my experience with it at least

I thought a lot of states you can't purchase insulin over the counter anymore?
