Why insulin?
I've read the sticky on insulin and if I understand correctly, you're pretty much guaranteed to be a diabetic if you mess with that stuff. And even if it's not a guarantee, but just a significant risk, Why would you risk it? Is insulin really that irreplaceable?
I'm curious to hear the opinions of those who actually think it's worth it to use insulin.

It's what they use when the stage is calling them and they can score the big bucks...
It's not really for a gym rat.
But the pros are using alot of it.
If a gym rat ran it they can use a very conservative dose...but you better know what your doing.!

I find it beneficial I take gh and then eat then my insulin, because gh causes insulin resistance so taking insulin helps with the carbs and since how gh works it helps prevent me from getting fat on insulin. I don't believe it can cause diabetes unless really abused I use it for 3-4 weeks every now and then at a low dose. But that's just me and I don't think just anyone should use it. It's powerful and can make you go hypo if ever attempted you must be very informed on how to use it and how it works.

All my life since I was a kid I have to watch what I eat. If I eat too many simple carbs or something with a bunch of sugar in it just get a little weak, dizzy, lightheaded... basically feel like crap for a while.
Had some tests done that said I was "somewhat hypoglycemic".
No big deal, just have to not eat like a moron. However since I already have an issue with how my insulin triggers respond I would be more than average afraid to mess with it.

So your blood sugar drops to low when you eat to many simple Carbs? I completely understand why you wouldn't touch it at all.

Yeah. Technically I think what actually happens is my blood sugar spikes a little bit and my pancreas over-corrects, producing too much insulin which ultimately makes my blood sugar drop too far. If I understand correctly, haven't really thought about it a whole lot since I was a kid, just had sort-of a knee jerk reaction to the thought of messing around with insulin levels.

Insulin is very powerful. I know athletes taking it with every meal as fast acting. Others do only one or two shots a day with a long acting Insulin like Lantus. For athletes like cyclists its good for increasing glycogen storages in liver and muscle so they have practically more energy.
For bodybuilders it brings great results in gaining mass and power and fullnes.
I think when it comes to bo bodybuilders eating 1000g or mote carbs a day its not possible without insulin.
For example Jay Cutler. In Flex Magazine he said hes eating meals with 175g of carbs. How should the absorb all that stuff without exogenous insulin?
or Juan Morel eating 10000cals a day in the offseason.
So many guys crash the 300 pound mark in the offseason. I think all of them take insulin.
What i noticed is that you have to train very hard when on insulin. You have to increase the weight every workout or other intensity methods to really make the greastest benefits.
