Insulin Goes Viral? New study shows some viruses produce insulin-like hormones that have potential to cause disease

"Experimenting in mouse and human cells, the scientists studied whether the VILPs could act like hormones. Their experiments proved that the VILPs could indeed bind to human insulin receptors and receptors for a closely related hormone called IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1)."

Watch how quick this will be the new excuse for why so many people get type II diabetes. Not diet, not lifestyle and so what if 100% ago diabetes was virtually unknown. It’s a virus now...

Although for a long time now, viral infection has been thought of as a possible cause of type I diabetes.

Interesting read. However I agree with MuscleScience. It’s more so lifestyle and improper nutrition that lead people to have diabetes. Hence why it can be reversible if caught in early stages where people can go from pre diabetic to in the clear. But then again I’m no scientist that’s just based off of my understanding from what I’ve read and anecdotal reviews from people who’ve overcome pre-diabetes/diabetes or developed it and have to live with it

I really hope they do the right thing & are upfront with the reality that diet & at least moderate exercise will keep one health & do not start putting out fantasies like "magic pill" crap unless they actually develop said pill that is. THat aside the fact that some peptides may use insulin as basically mass transit in our bodies & then attach to receptors may bolster the SERMS industry, I will be keeping my eye on this turn of events because I keep getting this feeling a breakthrough may be on the horizon where we truly begin to biohack our bodies & maximize our quality of life.
