Starting insulin soon. Safest insulin to use?

What is the safest insulin to use? some people recommend humalog, some people recommend humulin R, some people recommend lantus.

( i am an insulin beginner btw )

None of them are available to me "legally" haha i have access to them, but i have no prescription, which i assume makes it not legal

There are Walmart brand is legal to anyone without a prescription. It’s humalin R 25.00 dollars and you don’t a prescription in usa. It’s available because diabetes patients don’t always have insurance and can’t acess a doctor so before you die it’s available to anyone legally. So are insulin pins. They will not refuse you. I’d start with 1iu prework with 100grams dextrose. Acess how you feel then slowly increase over time. Carbs,aminos, creatine, protein shake before and after then a meal. Don’t forget to have glucose or dextrose ready at the gym Incase you get hypoglycemia.
