Lantus log...of sorts.
I am on a “bulk” and increased my calories a bit. Probably protein and carbs by 30% or so (sorry, been to lazy to tally up in Cronometer).
My morning/fasting blood sugar had been around 96-101 every morning. I have diabetes all over my family so this surplus food thing causing high bs caused me a bit of concern. So based on a few threads, maxmuscle1’s specifically, I figured I would give my beta cells some reprieve and add some Lantus in the mornings.
I bought some at Costco for about $20usd/3ml pen and started with 40iu upon rising. From then on my bs has been in the low 80s in the morning. After 3 days I dropped it to 30iu and it’s holding steady. Not much insulin nor much change but keeping my bs out of the “pre-diabetic” range seems like a good idea.
I will begin prep in January and hopefully the drop in calories will negate the need for exogenous insulin. We shall see.

What are you doing to fight this insulin resistance, exept using lantus?
Cardio, more complex carb/less fast acting one, berberine, metformin?

Insulin resistance? Do you understand bodybuilding nutrition? The high blood sugar is induced. But I started HGH today so we shall see how that effects blood sugar.
I did Cronometer yesterday and I admit I am a bit bummed. All this eating and blown out stomach and I’m only getting in 3200 calories. I just don’t think I can eat more. My weight is going up now, finally. Perhaps the Lantus is helping shuttle the nutrients?

When I’m hitting a block in a bulk, if I leave cals the same and toss in slin, I gain. It’s like magic. In my experience, 5iu GH takes my BG up about 15-20, but everyone’s different. I pin a little R with my GH pin in the morning, especially if I’m doing cardio.
At 3200, and your size you’ve gotta be just a hair over your expenditure? I’d personally try to find a way to jam another 800 cals in there. When I go up to 4K I have to start eating at 530 am or I never get the calories.

2 cups grape nuts has almost 200 carbs + the chocolate or regular/fat free milk.
Easy 1,000kcals !

Let me just pop on down to the Mercado and pick up some Nuez de Uvas. I haven’t seen them but how about the fake Lucky Charms from Malt o Meal? I can probably suck some cereal and milk down as a snack between but as I have said in the past, eating is the hardest part.

I'm with you on that. I'm bulking right now and the worst thing is trying to force feed myself all day. And I absolutely hate the feeling of having a food baby all day. To me cutting and eating less is alot easier then bulking and forcing yourself to eat
