I am pretty sure big ****** does this number one to make money number two to make money and number three to make sure the patient is using the amount that is required in the specified time frame... I believe and client suffering form AIDS is instructed to use 18iu daily so one kit would last 4 days for them and is consistent with the aprox 5day shelf life of sterile water. Just wanted to know if you guys who have used this brand just source bac water and reconstitute it yourself or do you use the sterile and just keep it in the fridge ?
Sterile water is just that... sterile. It does not prevent the formation. Of bacteria.
Bac water does prevent the formation of bacteria because it has .9% benzoyl alcohol.
The FDA requires a shelf life of both, but how long they really last is debatable. I think that a shelf life of 5 days is absurdly short.
I will say that I have had an infection that required medical removal so I am always going to go with the bac water.
Yes, I have used sterile water but it is not my preference.
Being hospitalized for a couple of days, you can understand my conservative nature.
