Thread: No one brewing with Miglyol 840?

I guy in a brewing group just briefly mentioned you can double the strength of Deca 500mg/ml by using Miglyol 840, anyone know anything about this?

Well we were almost 10 below zero here today. lol. I make my first home-brew vial of Deca this week but if I can eventually make higher concentrations with this I will buy some.

It kinda looks like Miglyol isn't much more than a Propylene Glycol / MCT blend?

Why would u not use BA what does that have to do with it being a solvent

I remember reading this thread before I ordered some Mig 840 a little while back so I thought I would let you guys know my first experience brewing with Mig. I split the batch with a friend of mine and he loves it and has very little pip. I on the other hand knot up and can barely walk for a little over a week after injecting. I tried it twice just to make sure and the same shit both times. I can run MCT with no issues but Mig. fuckes me up!!! IMO the only way to know how you"ll react to Mig. is to try it. I wish like hell it worked for me, injecting with a slin pin would be so much easier. Hope this helps someone.

you have to use BA its bb you dont have to use

I read somewhere that if you're allergic to Aspirine then don't use EO. If this is true or not I really don't know.
I don't recommend people using EO because it's a very harsh solvent. It deforms/dissolves rubber stoppers. And if you use filter/plastic that is not compatible with it you'll end up with cloudy gear.
If you filter that shit through wrong filter membrane it will eat through the filter.

MCT and miglyol are a bit different. I'd recommend regular MCT.
