Why did my homebrew result in less oil than anticipated?

I'm positive I measured everything correctly. The only thing I can think of is I kept it on the hot plate too long? I was trying to make sure it was thorough. I ended up with a vial less than I expected. Should I be worried about using it? It's 100mg/ml tren ace

Maybe you miscalculated the volume the powder itself was going to occupy. I go with 0.9 x the total weight in gms of the powder you're using for that batch to get an mL estimate, then add the BB & BA mL. Subtract those three from the total volume you intend to make to get your carrier oil in mL. Plus if you're using a standard syringe-tip filter then of course a small amount of your finished product is going to end up trapped in it.

filters have hold up volume so some of your gear will stay in filter. For bottle tops it is about 2-5ml for the syringe filters depends but around 0.1-0.3ml. So always consider this. Also some of your gear will stay in breaker or in syringe etc...

I used a calculator with a proven recipe, not sure if it's ok to post the calculator here since it is also a source but nonetheless, I'm confident no miscalculations were made. I did notice today that my glass receiver still had that white plastic thing on it which effected the seal and pressure and since it was my first try with a glass receiver I didn't get much pressure. Maybe it didn't get enough pressure to pull the rest of the oil through? And I did use a syringe to transfer it to vials.

you have measure all of your liquid with what ...almost all syringe over 1cc or off and b grade beaker or other of those kind like a graduated cylinder may be off by 10% you have to have grade a but those come at a premium price. i have read somewhere here that a 60 cc syringe was off by almost 1 cc depending if it was needle up or down so imagine if you filter and fill vial with that but like other said you will loose in the filtering or some will be in the beaker and i will be surprise that you will have loose because you let it sit on hot plate too long its oil but if you put BB or or BA those 2 can evaporate ....

I used a 60ml, 10ml, and 3ml syringe for measurements. I filtered with a bottletop. I'm hearing from more people that it's common to lose some so I think the things mentioned plus the seal not being tight on the receiver is what did it.

+1 a lil always stays in the filter, also if you put the ba and bb in before heating those do evaporate. But being off a lil is normal.

Every transfer you make when measuring, filtering and bottling gear you loose product. It's normal. I always loose at Least a vial or two from the start of brewing to the end result. I never feel like sitting there holding my glassware upside down trying to get everything out of them.

But as others mentioned, you loose the most during filtering. I always double filter, sometimes I even triple filter my gear and the end result is always the same. I'm short one or more vials

What is the reason you double filter your gear ?

You really don't have to filter it more than once.
