Wow kick ass! That's awesome bro. I keep learning to pull together everything needed to home brew but haven't yet.

Where'd u get the solvents, autofil, vac pump, etc?

Did u use a bleed syringe when filing the 10 ml vials?

      Recipe:
***I substituted MCT oil for GSO***
      Screenshot_20180816-002941_Adobe Acrobat.jpg

      Equipment:
      - 500 ml Beaker
      - 60 ml sterile luer lock syringes (2)
      - 3 ml syringe w/25 gauge needle
      - 18 gauge needles
      - Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Alcohol
      - 99% isopropyl alcohol
      - Hair net
      - Nitrile gloves
      - Alcohol wipes
      - 10ml sterile sealed vials
      - Autofil vacuum bottle top filter with .22 micron filter.
      - Vacuum hand pump
      - Glass thermometer / stirrer
      - Skillet
      - Stove Top
      - Clorox cleaning wipes

      Procedure:
      - Sterilize counter space, stove top, working area with clorox cleaning wipes.
      - Sterilize beaker with isopropyl alcohol - let dry.
      - Fill skillet with approx 1.5 inches water and bring to slow boil.
      - Add Primo E raw powder to beaker and add Benzyl Benzoate (used first 60 ml syringe for this, I will save this syringe for use in future cooks), gently swirl until almost dissolved.
      - Place beaker in skillet in water bath swirl. Raws will dissolve completely.
      - Add MCT Oil to mixture, stir gently, checking temp.
      - I heated the solution for approximately 30 minutes at around 185 degrees F.
      - Remove from heat and add Benzyl Alcohol (used 3ml syringe for this).
      - Mix well and let cool to 90 degrees F. (covered loosely with aluminum foil)
      - Pour warm solution into Autofil bottle top vacuum filter, place lid on top, attach hand pump, pump to 300 mm/hg, and wait. As pressure drops to around 150 mm/hg, repump to 300. Repeat until solution is all filtered (took about 30 minutes).
      - *THE NEXT STEP IS NOT IDEAL - I HAVE ANOTHER METHOD FOR NEXT TIME BUT, WITH PRECAUTIONS, THIS METHOD WORKS*: In my clean kitchen with no fans, carpet, rugs, hair net on, gloves on - remove plunger from sterile 60ml syringe with fresh 18 gauge needle attached and capped. Remove top of Autofil and quickly pour finished oil in syringe (backfill).
      - Sterile sealed vials are already wiped with alcohol swab and first one has 18 gauge needle inserted to vent.
      - Uncap needle attached to 60 ml syringe containing finished oil, insert into vial. Slowly install plunger back into syringe and fill vials.
      - DONE!

I have luer lock needles (obviously). I just insert the needle minus the syringe in the vial I am filling and insert the fill syringe right next to it. I think everyone makes a bigger deal out of it than it really is (I know I did). The biggest thing is to use common sense when it comes to contamination. While you want to be careful and as sterile as possible throughout the process, the solution is not sterile until AFTER it is filtered. So, from that point on you really need to use best practices.

read about your 99% isopropyl for sterilized its better with the 70% cause you need water for destroying bacteria .... go read that Why Is 7% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) a Better Disinfectant than 99% Isopropanol, and What Is IPA Used For?
