I don't know why everyone is asking if the plastic cracked. What are these folks using for vacuum pumps? I can't see how a hand pump, pumped to a pressure of 300-350 mm/hg could cause these things to implode. It takes a little while to filter it, but I would rather wait 30 minutes or so than pump that sonofabitch up so hard I break my pump or crack my Autofil.

I've tried all bottle top filters / plastic reciever bottles except the autofil. They all cracked. Even at low pressure. It was long time ago though. All plasticbottles were known to crack back in the day.
