      Filtering

Hypothetically- if someone was doing a larger batch, how much oil is okay for each .45 whatman. And would it be the same amount if filtering again through a .22? Would be using USP nonfiltered GSO

They’ll be different for each type of filter. You’ll be able to find a spec sheet for each filter online. Look for the volume capacity.

I can’t find anything. Found one site that says up to 10mL but I sure hope they are good for a lot more than that.

Would I be okay with a 1000ml .22 bottle top vacuum filter?

You’ve gotta be more specific man. How much are you trying to filter through a single filter? If you get a 1000ml bottle top filter it will safely filter 1000ml for sure. For actual volume you are going to have to dig and find the spec sheets. I’ve done it before. They’re out there. I don’t have time to do that for you.

Ok so .22 would be fine to filter 1000ml? No need to run through a larger one first I assume? One pass through the .22 should be adequate? This looks like the most efficient option

The most EFFICIENT option is double filtering it. The CHEAPEST option is one pass through a 22 micron filter. One pass will work fine. But it’s not the most efficient.

You only need to filter once.
If you gonna filter 1L just use 2-3x 500ml filters.
