How to avoid huge loss from filtering
Hello all,
Went to brew 30ml of tren E and ended up with only 20.
(6g tren e, .6ml ba, 6ml bb and 18ml gso)
The only thing I can think of for this loss is that I used a 250ml
Vacuum filter and some got lost in the filter. If that is it would a syringe filter work better for these types of small batches?
If loss is a normal, how much on average should I account for?
33% seems steep to me. Thanks so much

Honestly, I’ve lost a few ml before, but nothing of that amount. Yes, you can lose a couple in the filter, but I don’t care about that.

What did you use to measure your carrier oil? Not all measuring containers are the same. I've seen some off by as much as 50-100ml.

60ml and 3ml syringes to measure

I used to do it that way and always had large shortage. I've found pyrex glass measuring cups to be the most accurate..even when compared to lab measuring beakers.

I'll give that a try, thanks!!!

Even then, as it finishes filtering I'll add a touch of oil to make sure I hit my mark. You'll loose some in trasfering and filtering.

Beakers are not used to measure liquid. Graduated cylinders are used for that purpose. If you have a known weight for a liquid, that is another acceptable method.
For small batches like the one you listed, syringes are fine. 10ml is a minuscule amount of liquid but it can represent two grams of Tren in your case. Ouch!
i lose 30ml with a peristaltic pump/capsule filter set up. That represents 3% or 1% loss depending on the batch so that is acceptable for me. For small or even what I would call “micro” batches like yours, syringe filters would be best but they clog fast and I don’t have the strength or patience.

Use Class A type graduated cylinders. Be sure it’s not a B-class. “A Class” lab Ware is much more precise.
