      Zap cap order mistake question

I ordered the .45 and .22 zap cap filter bottles. I thought that the vacuum bottle that catches the filtered oil would come with this but I was wrong.

Does anybody else use this set up or a similar one and what did u do?

Or does anybody have any suggestions how to correct this mistake?

I'm assuming I can just just use some type of sterile glass bottle that will fit around the bottom.

I do have a bunch of sterile 50 ml vials that I guess I could pour into and then either recap/recrimp or just transfer the oil from the 50ml vial to a sealed vial with a syringe.

      Any ideas are welcome.

      Thanks

Order some Pyrex media bottles. Sterilize bottles and caps however you prefer. Don’t forget to remove the plastic pour rings before sterilizing.

      Order these:

Pyrex Slimline Media Bottle Easy Pour Corning 125ML Glass

also take the plastic o-ring off of the neck of the glass bottles before filtering.

What's a good sterilization procedure for home brewing?

I was planning on using isopropyl alcohol to wipe the bottle down then bake at 450 for 30 minutes then wipe with alcohol again then another 30 minutes at 450.

Iv always washed with dawn dish soap then wipe out / dry with alcohol then baked at highest setting in my oven for 45 min then left in the oven during cool down. Oh and I wrap the glassware opening down in aluminum foil to keep any particulates from falling on it during the whole process.

Nice. I like the aluminum foil idea. I'll use that. Thx
