Syringe filter super simple but one best mistake free way to go straight into sealed sterile vial. Only reason to get away from it is for larger batches finished oil looks good I like simple effective blend be great for cruise or part of a blast
I love how you did it, keeping it so simple. I'm about to order some raws and hope they come safely. I like that calculator also. How much did you end up making, just one 10ml vile?
Adding a foil cover will give you more
moisture because it will go up into foil and condensate. Try it withou brewing first and you’ll see what I mean.
Secondly, put a syringe filter on your air escape needle. The way you are doing it, nothing keeps stuff from flowing into the “sealed, sterile vial”.
Congrats on trying a blend. It’s a bit daunting for new-to-brewing guys.
I hope someone could clear this up for me. When using a .22 syringe filter and filtering straight into a sealed sterile vial (just making small batch).
Does the whatman filter screw on (attach) to the syringe tip then the needle slides on to the whatman tip? I don't see how the needle can be secured on the filter without leaking or possibly become loose since the filter has only one side that screws on.
