Even if you solve the sterility issue, you still need to think about the membrane and its chemical resistance properties. GE (the makers of Whatman) put out a comprehensive guide to filters....just about everything you ever wanted to know here:

      Here’s what you need:

Whatman Zapcap CR Filters, .2um, case of 12 | eBay

Brake Bleeder and Vacuum Pump Kit

Pyrex Slimline Media Bottle Easy Pour Corning 125ML Glass (Single) | eBay

just add some vials, rubber stoppers, flip tops, and crimper tool for the flip tops.

Cheap, easy set-up without breaking your thumbs.

By by the way, I’ve done the research on the chemical comparability with the filtration; that’s why I chose the above filters.

      this setup works great.

Btw, Enigma chuckles every time he sees that reference to 125ml media bottles. They’re so cute!

Some people prefilter with .45 to extend life of .22.
As far as sterility, just push some BA through the filter first. When it likely your are using questionably sterile/clean glassware and doing all this in the open air, sterile filters would be overkill and not cost effective.
Whatman 25 MM, PVDF Membrane, .20u pore size, sterile syringe filter

This is from gpz meds. They don't have a .22u listed.
Should I keep looking for the .22u or will the .20u work ok? I'll be doing small batch BTW (first time). Are the EZflow filters a good option since they have many more choices?

      .20 is smaller than .22
I don’t know EZ flow. If you don’t mind the cost, buy Whatman. Just thinking of syringe filters makes my hands hurt.

I made an automatic press out of stainless steel uses a 6lb, and a 4lb stainless steel shaft to do all the work and has hand threads if I need a little more pressure but so far the weights have worked and all I have to do is load it and walk away for 3-5min come back and it's done change vials and reset and walk away. I only do 50ml-100ml batches though. I'm going to brew up some Test-e tonight I'll take pics of it in action and post them

Now that sounds like a great hands free set up. Can't wait to see it.
