I bought this one. Adter pouring over tons of scales and all the reviews for them this one stood out as the best for the price.

Idk what ur primary concern is with your snake but mine was having reasonable accuracy at extremely low amounts. The 1 to 10 mg range. Which is necessary if ur gonna do sneak amounts of AI's.

Its important to always keep in mind that whatever ur scale goes down to always go up to tg he next mark for accuracy.

For example if the scale says it does .0001 gram measurements don't expect it to be accurate at the 1mg range cuz its not.

U gotta spend thousands to get accuracy like that.

But as u go up to the 10 and 100mg range it will become more accurate, which is exactly what I need since I'll be fking thinking like 1mg/ml anastrazole in 100ml bottles.

If u buy one that only says it goes down to .1 or .01grams dont expect it to even be closer to accurate at those actual measurements.

Not sure if I got what I read trying to say across properly but I hope it helps.

I'd be happy with one that is reasonably accurate at .5g -1g the one I have now sucks if weighing under 5g

Also note, the "brand" doesn't matter with these. They are all mass produced in china, and badged to whatever brand the bulk order reseller wants it to be
      American weigh
      Rite weight
      Gram precision
      Us balance
      Etc

      All the same exact scale.

The top scale manufacturers are Tanita, Toledo, O'Haus.

Fuck it. It's only money I went ahead and bought the pe360. For only a little over $100 more then the generic scale I was going to buy no big deal and I'm planning on mixing up alot of oral suspension and with the extra accuracy it will probably save me more money then the extra cost in the long run. Thanks for the help guys

Smart move. Top quality equipment puts you one step closer to a top level set up.
Of course every eBay purchase is a gamble but I think you’ll be pleased.

Now I just need to find a small portable laminar flow hood then I'll be set

That’s the problem my friend. “Portable” and inconspicuous. Hard to explain why you have a flowhood if people see it. There are plenty of those small Chinese ones on eBay. $500 is what you should expect to spend. You want horizontal flow. I have a vertical hood but we just mix and bottle oral in it.

Depending on where you live you should look for local sellers. For example, UC San Diego has a surplus store. I bid on a seriously heavy duty 4’ One with a minimum bid of $350. I don’t need one but I bid $375 anyway (closed bidding auction). I didn’t get it but I would be surprised if it went for more than $500. Probably a $5k Unit.

Here are a couple of examples as to what to look that is similar in your region.

We will probably buy an HPLC or MassSpec from the latter.

I bought one of these in new condition for $150 on eBay, iirc. Had to buy two new batteries but they were $15/each.Pipettes (sterile) are a little over a dollar each.
You can find good stuff if you are constantly searching.2EA2FC44-3F34-4493-A435-58A653ED6723.png
