      First time using autoclave

Can everything in the pic be placed in the autoclave? Im going to do a test run before brewing some fresh gear to pour in the media bottles but will i have condensation problems when its done sterilizing? I read to wait for the temps to drop inside before opening (obviously) but will there be moisture on the bottles and caps? if so how do you keep the bottles sterilized and dry the moisture so when you pull out the autoclave it can go straight to the bottle top filter? tia

If your autoclave has a cool down dry program cycle you shouldnt have to worry about it everything should come out dry if you follow the right procedures and your autoclave is in proper working order. Thats whats cool about having nice things!

Hopefully one of the legit lab guys can chime in that uses an autoclave frequently.

Ohh nice septa tops. I couldn't find those bitches in stock anywhere. Where'd you find those?

As far as condensation. Just pop them in the oven on 250° - 300° until they are dry. You can actually sterilize the bottles this way - that's I how did it before I had a pressure cooker.

yeah the autoclave i have is a all american 25x. I don't believe it has a cool down function. At least the instructions don't say anything about that. Im gonna put foil over the tops of them. Hopefully that helps. I'm doing a test run today at some point.

So I did my first test run. one media bottle with the septa and lid loosely placed on top, one media bottle covered in foil and one just sitting in the basket open. Both the lid and the foil one had condensation in the bottles even hours later. Now i did not get the 30 min at the correct psi but i was able to build pressure and then had to stop because i needed to leave for the day. So i might be running a second test run at some point but it looks like letting them just sit in the basket and breathe leaves no condensation, but i will need to test more.

I tested some vials tonight in my pressure cooker. There was slight condensation after about 30min of rest. I just threw them in the microwave for 45sec and they were good after that.

Side note: I just checked and medlab and they had them in stock. I got 3 of those bitches.
