      Long term raw storage

I capped and brewed a lot and now putting away the raws in long term storage.

I’ve divided my various raws into “as needed” packets and then vacuum sealed those in Mylar bags with silica packs. I’ve read that some people also freeze their raws, but is it really necessary with the steps I’ve taken? It’s obviously easier for me to keep them in a room temp drawer than have to make freezer space.

I have Test U I’d like to get up to 10 years of storage life. The rest is 5-10 years of Var, Asin, Nolva, and Test E. All have had the same treatment of vacuum sealed in Mylar with silica packs.

      Thank you for any help/info

It’s much better if you long term store in glass because plastic sweats and the sad part about it you won’t never see it sweat because the powder will absorb it right away... it happened to me once so it’s glass for me only...

Good question. I would vac seal with the silica packs like you did then put into a mason jar and use my canning attachment on my food saver to seal it.

I would think if you could keep your vac sealed bags in an environment that is consistent temp wise you might be okay.

I personally would brew everything that will end up as an oil. The oil, solvents and alcohol with serve to preserve the compounds for quite some time.

Any container can sweat if moisture gets into it and there are temperature changes. As long as it is sealed and the bags are non-porous, that part should be good. Labs often keep chemicals long term for use. Dry , dark ,and cool is the prefered medium to keep them. Frig or freezing is not necessary and can attract moisture. I have kept chemicals in plastic and sealed with moisture absorbents for several years at a time with no problems. The bottom of a closet in the middle of the house in a small ice chest is my prefered method now.

I would do the same thing as you. Just store them in a dark, dry and cool place.
