Yeah, I agree - that is a bit overkill. I brew. Would I like to have a hot plate / magnetic stirrer? Yes. Is it necessary? No. Autoclave? Nah - I have an 8 quart Instant Pot, bonus: it also cooks a shit load of chicken fast as fuck. I also use a hand pump - zero issues.
