      Cleaning flasks, rods etc

For those that use syringe filters

How do you go about washing/cleaning your flask, storing rod etc?

I know they don’t have to be sterile as the final step of the brew (syringe filtering) sterilises the batch. However I assume you still want to clean them after use and oil is tricky to clean.

I was thinking of just putting them in the dishwasher but want to hear what everyone else does!

I use dawn dish soap to clean everything, rinse it very good and let it dry. Then I wipe them down with isopropyl alcohol

I wash them good with dish soap and a bottle brush. If I had a dishwasher, I’d use it. Just give everything a good alcohol/distilled water rinse before use.

Dawn soap and a bottle brush to start. Then I put in my dishwasher. They're good to go after that. Be sure to rinse out again.
