Decided not to wait on my shipment to come in and try the miglyol 840 recipe. Since it was only 4.8 grams, I adjusted the recipe for 20 ml, so it’s dosed at 240/ml in theory.
14.85 ml miglyol 840
1% BA .2 ml
3% BB .6 ml
Heated the oil, added the powder and stirred slowly till it started breaking up. Added the BB, put it on the stir plate for 20 minutes.
Pulled it off and let it cool to about 95 F. Pulled it from the beaker, into a 60ml syringe, then Attached the filter and pushed it back out into its bottles. Filter process took about 3 minutes. The finished product is below, looks like I lost 1-2 ml in the process. No biggie. Now, let’s see if it crashes or holds.

Follow up: it crashed. I reheated it, fixed it, crashed again. I’m gonna say there’s not enough BB. I intend to add more solvent later, by 1%, and then see if it holds. I’m not worried about contamination because this is me finding the right recipe to make it stable, with as little solvent as possible.

I love it. Its the perfect oil. This stuff crashed because of high dose and low BB. Update: 1 bottle survived, the other bottle crashes after i take it off the heat. Live and learn. I took 1 cc from one of the bottles, with 25g needle in the shoulder. No pip whatsoever. I'm giddy
