Flavor Powder + Raw Liquid Oral Solution - Would this work?
My experience with home brewing is only minimal. After playing around with turning different powders into liquid oral solutions, I had opened a cabinet looking for a container and saw the kids, “sugar free Hawaiian Punch” powder...
and it got me wondering... What if I take my raw powder and combine it with the Hawaiian Punch powder and dissolve them together in the heated solvent (PEG/Everclear)?
I keep telling myself - “even if it doesn’t really work to make the awful flavor tolerable - it can't mess it up as long as the added flavor powder weight goes into the calculation...” right?
but I’ve done so many things I thought were clever that ended up dumb AF.
Anyone ever attempt something like this? Or... is there anything I’m not thinking of. Would there be a reason to not give it a shot?
sure... I can just use humco and do suspensions but I really like solutions when I can make the time to do them.
This should work. You could also use concentrated flavorings (Google Lorann oils) to do the trick. I'm not the biggest fan of HP, but do what tastes good IMO.
Just FYI, some raw are a bitch to get into a solution/or won't at all. The thought of Everclear makes me gag and PEG isn't much better. If it were up to me, I would do a good-tasting suspension any day.
