Bicep Tendonitis
Was wondering if you guys ever experienced it? I been noticing shoulder pain in my left shoulder for the past couple of weeks now so I decided to take this week off from the gym to rest it. I figured I would start to feel some relief today since I have done absolutely nothing but I can still feel the pain in my shoulder. After some investigating my symptoms it seems pretty clearly that its Biceps Tendonitis.
If anyone has ever had it, could you explain some things you may have done to help with the healing process? I am one of those guys that will take a week off for injury, but after that I will just continue to lift, just do lighter weights or movements that do not cause me pain until the injury heals on its own lol.
Thanks

Unfortunately with any tendinitis scenario is usually always the same remedy, rest and follow up with a doctor to ensure u haven't stretched or tore something. Lots of ice and stretching have proven to help me over the many times I have endured this dreaded enemy of working out.

Ice and advil. Go see a chiropractor or phsyio who can do soft tissue work like ART. And then get into a little physical therapy. I've had all kinds of rotator cuff tendonitis (bicep tendon inserts into the rotator cuff), and it's always a symptom of a structural or strength imbalance somewhere else. I think (if i recall) when I had bicep tendonitis it was due to a weakness in my lower traps (tendonitis flares up because a different muscle is pulling to take more load than it's supposed to, because something somewhere else is weak).

Great advice I appreciate it .. Ive been icing like crazy but im gonna add in Advil and start doing some rotator work with bands to build strength. I have a chiropractor as well who I can contact

Yeah man...I think they call it "referred pain...." Hurts one place, but the problem may be somewhere else. Keep us posted!

Your muscles are probably getting stronger faster than you tendons and I've dealt with this many times while on gear. I usually just lower the weight some with a bit more reps to let the tendon heal and catch back up.

I haven't started gear yet actually .. I plan on doing my first cycle basically once this injury heals up .. I been taking alieve twice a day and it's been helping with the pain and using ice twice a day as well. I'm back in the gym on Monday and I'll just stay light on all upper body work until things get better .. I'll keep everyone updated.

I'd go see an orthopedic specialist. Not something you want to mess around with.

this
and resting a week is almost unbearable for us gym oers, but one week will not do much for healing tendonitis and especially not tendonosis. Ice as much as possible. If you can ice 6x a day then do it.

Rest and Motrin .
I wouldn't touch a barbell until your 100% .
Light dumb bells and machines is the only way . If you push to hard or feel any pain then you will be starting at ground zero again .
Stating you're natural is probably better than enhanced strain .
You could check on the MK677 peptide . Since it's known for water retention it could aid in healing process .
Increased GH over a couple months is a plus plus IMO .
Good luck healing up friend
