      Gyno post op

      Question for guys who had gyno reduction surgery, lipo + gland excision ;
      So, if all goes by plans in few weeks time I'll have gyno surgery. Now, the clinic is about an hour drive from home. I'd prefer going solo, if possible. So, my question is, for those that had it done, were you in a state capable, or comfortable enough, to be able to drive, let's say a few hours after the procedure?

      Update, in case anyone may be interested
      I got the operation done yesterday. All went very well, and as of now the pain is minimal. The original appointment was scheduled for 10 AM, but a few days before they rescheduled the time to 2 PM. Upon arrival, I had another talk with the surgeon, where I read and signed the consent paper. Then, a short visit with the anesthesiologist. She asked few questions about allergies, and if I have other issues that may be important for general anesthesia, like if I take any drugs and so on. I also gave her my blood test results, that I had to bring with me. Then I signed another paper, something about I understand and consent things about general anesthesia. Done all that, it's straight to the operating room. I undress, lie on the operation table, they hook me up, cover me with a blanket, and I'm gone.
      When I wake up, I already have my compression vest on. They let me rest right there on the operation table. I feel a strange but pleasant high, it feels good to close my eyes and doze off. There is a radio playing in the background. Don't know why, it was some German radio station and it played only contemporary club house. It was quite enjoyable.
      The nurse keeps barging in and asking if I',m alright, if I feel pain, nausea, or dizziness. Nah, I'm good.
      Dozing on and off, it gets darker outside. It's 8 PM, and I feel ready to leave. I told my surgeon that I will drive off myself. I told him I just have to get to the main station, which is only a few minutes away. I told him some will wait for me there. He agreed. The nurse wasn't so harpy about that arrangement. She wanted that someone comes right there to the clinic to get me home. Well, I had my deal with her boss, so that was it. Finally I can dress up and get my stuff. They give me a next check up appointment, a folder with some papers, and some pain meds for later. Then off I go. I feel almost no pain or dizziness, and I feel totally able to drive.
      An hour later, I'm home. All went even better that I expected.

      I'm supposed to wear a compression vest for 5 weeks. But, I'll see how my recovery goes. I hope to do bicep curls maybe a bit sooner, but honestly I don't know yet. Flying dumbells will probably be the last thing I'll be able to do, as it seems bending my arms backwards is not good for wound healing. I plan to take long walks every day, can't run yet. I will just rest for a few days, but I feel I'm already able to work my forearms, calves, leg rises for abs training, and simpler thing like that.

      That's really interesting I've always thought about having it done just to get the gland removed. I have a little lump that never goes away it's not big but I can tell which is enough. So once you get that gland removed you can develop gyno again can you?

      You are much tougher than me. I didn't know WTF was going on until the next day. I had drains and it was gross. It was a quick recovery though. Couple weeks and I was good to go.
