Going to see the orthopedic surgeon today

Ive had labrum and ulnar surgery on my left shoulder/elbow. In the early 2000's. Actually had 2 surgeries on my left labrum. Within the last few months I've been having some issues with my left shoulder. Figured i would just deal with it. Recently it has progressed for the worse and forced me to seek professional help once again. Left shoulder definitely is not seated properly. What makes it worse is , it must be pressing on a nerve or something because there is a pinching feeling in my forearm/bicep. Along the brachiordialis. Extreme drop in strength and pain when bending the arm at the elbow for presses or curls . last night i was making kidney beans in a pot on the stove for my daughter. When lifting the pot and bending at the elbow to bring the pot closer to my face (just like eating from a spoon) I realized then i must get this taking care of asap. There was a strong pinching sensation and it was hard to hold the pot in this position for more than a minute or so. Anyway i just wanted to let everyone know what is Going on and why my log also isnt progressing.
Kind of depressing me. Never thought i would have to go through this shit again. Hopefully this is an easy fix with minimal downtime . I really cannot afford this to happen and be out if work for any length of time. Hoping the fixtures just come out and they can just put them back in place. Idk seems maybe that would be an easy solution and fix. (Hoping). Maybe not.. Idk im just guessing ..but this situation has been mentally weighing on me for some time and more so recently. It just seems like i can never catch a break.

Not sure if this applies but take it for what it's worth, if anything at all. My problem is the rotator cuff, been having the issue for years. Every time I would have a flair up it was caused by the same thing, benching with a bar. It was determined that I needed surgery but I never ended up getting it. It would eventually get better as far as the pain but as soon as I would go back to benching with a bar it would flair up again and I'd have to wait 3 months or so for the pain to subside. The answer to my problem was dumbells. For the last 3 or 4 years I've been doing all of my presses with dumbells and the pain has been virtually non existent. So, if you haven't tried that maybe give it a shot after you get the issue fixed and you've recovered. For me it was just being able to have my wrists turn in a bit mid lift as opposed to using the bar where your wrists are in a fixed position. Maybe you've tried this, not sure, or maybe it doesn't apply to your situation but in my case it was a total game changer. Good luck.

I would do only flat bench with a bar. Then switched to machines when I started doing many sets with reps.
I used mainly dumbells for incline and decline. Or cables and pec deck also.
Only used bar for flat. But also incorporated seated bench instead of lying flat. Helped alot but This is beyond that. Feels like the ball is out of the socket and lying down on my collar bone kinda. When doing front delt raises when doing the upward motion there is a lot of grinding and hitting .
Just cross my fingers wish for the best prognosis. App at 3:30. So getting a little anxious..

So I saw my old orthopedic surgeon yesterday. He doesn't do surgery any more. But set me up with some great people.
Gonna have some test performed and switch orthos. Should be in good hands. Will be working with the orthopedic surgeon for the ravens and orioles team physician.
So i will keep everyone updated. But until this is all set up im gonna do what i can do just use some extra caution.

I am gonna log this whole ordeal. Maybe it can help someone down the line going through something similar. Also, will give me a chance(a positive spin) to run some products(peptides/gh KRATOM) etc, to see how they help me and recovery and pain. But I am not going anywhere. So don't feel to bad for me. Lol. Shit when I have to go out of work ill probable be on here 24/7

My advice would be to try manage it without surgery.. but to do this you need scans done and a diagnosis or description of whats physically wrong.. then see both physio and chiro to address it. Monitor it from there.. it could be a simple fix, or may require an injection the ortho would tell you if thats suitable.

Just be in the cautious side.. orthos are notorious for operating, tbey assume you have exhausted all other avenues before you see them.. and they also mostly only see surgery as the option as opposed to a conservative approach.

Just my 2 cents. I wish you a speedy fix and recovery, will watch this log

Sorry to hear about your injury and pain. Keep moving forward in any way you can and stay connected.

Logging it all sounds like a good idea so we can follow along
