You have to be pinning all the way to the back side of your glute to hit the nerve. I've had similar Payne in my lower back and I can say that deep tissue massage stretching and rotating awsy from this site, and giving it a break is the way to go.

I did not know that about the excess oil. And I am quite confused about how that nerve would be nicked because of where I pin in the upper right quadrant. But I have no reason to believe it's a pulled hamstring (I've done that before and it feels nothing like this).

So stretch hamstring, deep tissue the pain site, give right glute a break from injection. I'm also doing cold hot therapy.

What do you think the recovery time is looking like? I Know you're no doctor so I'll ask, how long did it take your back to recover?
